Biography

    Misty Stevens (Baker) grew up in Bloomington Indiana and showed an ear for music at a very young age. She started playing piano at age five, and guitar by sixteen, playing mostly gospel music at churches in and around the area. Her taste in music spans many genres, but bluegrass has stolen her heart. Living so close to Bean Blossom, the only surprise about her bluegrass journey, is that it didn't start sooner! Misty has written gospel songs, but the high, lonesome harmonies of mountain music have tapped into an abundant well of writing creativity. Her songs are unique, as she writes both fact and fiction, but vocally bleeds every spiritual drop of herself into a song.
    Misty resides in Bloomington Indiana with her two children, Brody (9) and Marleigh (4).  In addition to music, Misty works as a nurse, and enjoys gardening, crafting, and studying Bible prophecy.
